Life Hacks: How To Do Everything

So we all bite off more than we can chew sometimes, that's just how it is. But what about if that was never an option, and we could balance consistent blogging with work, college, being with our family, our friends, and of course living (you know, eating and sleeping and all that)? Sounds easy.

November Favourites

It's crazy how fast this year is going, and Christmas is getting closer and closer (and luckily I've finished my Christmas shopping because boy it's getting busy now), so here's a quick beauty round-up of the products I've been using the most this month.

Weekly Nails: The Grey Edit

Now I've come up with a little thing that I regularly post (every Monday, to be exact). The 'Weekly Nails' Edit, where I'll basically give you the heads-up on what nail polish I'll be sporting for the week. To kick things off, we've got the classic Barry M.

The Underrated MAC Lipstick

Now I'm pretty sure that MAC lipsticks are one of the most popular choices amongst the world of beauty bloggers, with the likes of Creme Cup and Patisserie being a few of the most talked about. But what about the colours that are less well known when they are just as gorgeous? Let's take a look at the lipstick that should be talked about way more.

The Aussie Treatment

Now sticking with the hair-themed posts, I've got a lot of love for two of the Aussie products in particular. And with my thick, practically unmanageable hair, it's almost impossible to find a product that can tame it.

The Hair Miracle

Now my hair has definitely taken a beating over the last few years. Being constantly dyed, bleached and stripped bare, it recently got the worst point it's ever been. My hair was dry, straw-like, dull and had no colour or shine to it. I've been reading countless blog posts and reviews to see what product could revitalise my hair, and a popular option was Keratin Oil. The result? A miracle.

The Budget Brows

Nowadays we all like to have good eyebrows...having amazing eyebrows definitely brings together your make-up look as a whole, and you dread any situation where your brows look drawn on or slug-like. Not a good look. So, the solution? Two very simple products.

If You Wanted A High-End Mascara...

Now you've probably guessed that I have had a bit of a splurge. I like to call it 'treating myself', 'cos let's face it, don't we all need some shopping TLC once in a while? This is my first impression of the amazing YSL Babydoll Mascara.

A Skincare Discovery

Now I've been sporting some pretty nasty blemishes recently, and I knew I had to take action. The only place for me? FeelUnique. They have so many options and you can specify your skincare needs, so I chose blemishes of course. And turns out, the products I chose were absolute winners.

So we're well into Autumn now, and on the fast-track to Christmas (eek), so I think it's only appropriate for me to give you a cheeky look into my everyday Autumn make-up look (the drugstore edition).

The High-End Wish List

Now I know I'm not the only one who has a mental list of those high-end products you desperately long for. You can't help but get a pang of jealousy when your favourite beauty blogger talks about how amazing it is and you sigh because your budget just can't stretch to that Tom Ford Eyeshadow Palette at the moment. So, these are some of the products on my high-end wish list.

Autumn Beauty Staples

Instead of a favourites this month, I thought I'd mix it up by showing you the products are some of my essentials that I'll be wearing this Autumn. It's typically a bronze eye and nude lip combo, but anyway let's get straight to it.

The Perfect Primer

Now when it comes to doing your make-up, we all know there's an important step that often gets missed out...priming. I know that it's not essential, but I feel like I get a better finish with my foundation when I use primer first. My favourite? Benefit's Porefessional.

Rimmel Lipstick Lovin'

Now it's only recently that I've been getting into a wearing a good lipstick every now and again, and I've realised that I've been missing out big time. There are absolutely hundreds of different shades of shades of shades, and so I've narrowed them down to show you my top three main shades that I'll be rocking this Autumn.

Ace Your Base

Now when it comes to foundation, I have to admit I'm not one of experimenting. If I find a good foundation, I tend to stick with it until I'm (gently) persuaded to try something new. There are so many foundations out there, it's kinda' hard to just find one perfect foundation, so I've got some of my favourites that are totally worth trying if you fancy leaving your trusty Mac Studiofix Fluid behind (as hard as that may be)...

A Little Something New

Doing three A-Levels in digital based subjects has definitely given me an advantage when it comes to Photoshop. Now, I'm certainly no expert, but I'd like to think that I'm a bit of a whiz (and I kinda love doing it) with collages and editing and the creative side of computers. So, the other night I just could not get to sleep, so I made a cheeky moodboard for my new room (eek how exciting!). If you're redecorating or you want to just buy a few cute bits for your room, then check this out for a bit of inspiration!

This Has Been A Crazy Month

Yes, I know I have some serious explaining to do. I haven't posted since the 9th October, I am ashamed to say, but I promise I have a valid explanation. I recommend that you go and grab a cuppa tea and a digestive biscuit, and let's have a quick catch up hey? I'll keep it brief so you don't get bored.

A Few From Zoella Beauty

So I'm sure just about every beauty blogger knows about Zoella, the insanely gorgeous and popular blogger and YouTuber, and that she recently launched her very own 'Zoella Beauty' range in Superdrug stores all over the UK and online. I knew I need to get my hands on her new products to test them out for myself, and that's exactly what I did...

But it's not just your clothes that change, your nails need to keep up too, so these are my five deeper coloured polishes that I'll be rocking this Autumn.

It's Better Late Than Never...

Now I'm sure that almost every beauty blogger (well, actually everyone who loves lipstick) has heard of the Rimmel London Kate Moss lipsticks. I know I have. But, the difference between myself and everyone else is the simple fact that yet again, I'm late on the bandwagon. But don't worry, I've finally caught up, and let me tell you...I'm in love.

Get Some Revlon-lovin'

Yes, I know that's a big claim. However, this foundation just ticks all of the boxes. I've been a long-term lover of the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation, and it was time for a change. One quick trip to Boots later and I've made the jump into the world of the Revlon foundations.

The Ultimate Gel Polish

So I love my Barry M Gelly Nail Polishes, but last week my friend's nails caught my eye...they were gorgeous and shiny and I had to ask what brand they were. "The Maybelline Super Stay Gel Nail Colour" was her answer, and naturally I had to try it. Cue a branch out in the world of varnish, with a very satisfied outcome...

"My current makeup bag is a gorgeous purple Sephora one. It's quite small, but you can still fit a lot in there and the products will sit nice and tidy as it's so slim. You can also use the stickers that come with it to personalize it, but I haven't got round to doing it yet!

Best High Street Moisturiser? Vote for Nivea.

Now, I don't know about you, but when I think about high-end products and compare them with the lower end stuff, I kind of presume that the high-end stuff is going to be so much better. Why? I used to think that price means quality...the higher the price, the higher the quality. And now, I've been proven wrong. By who, you're probably thinking, but it's more of a by what...

Banish Your Blemished Skin

Now I love clear skin as much as the next person, but sometimes we have to just accept that spots are just there sometimes. You just have to deal with them. But, there is something that you can try that will help cleanse that blemished skin. And, it could help prevent those spots that you get from just a, well, plain bad skincare routine. Add this to your life, and spots will be one less thing to worry about...

The Simplest Skincare Routine Ever?

I always see YouTubers and bloggers posting their morning and evening skincare routines and think 'how do they have time to do that?', because I get so impatient with routines and when I come home from college and it gets late, the last thing I want to do is spend ages washing and cleansing and toning and moisturising...even though I wish I wanted to. But I'll be honest with myself, it simply isn't gonna' happen. So, I've come up with my own routine that is simply the quickest and easiest I've found...and it's so good for your skin.

Urban Decay Naked Basics - The Autumn Palette

Are you looking for a palette but maybe can't afford the excessive high prices of the other high-end palettes, like the Mac palettes and the bigger Naked palettes, but you want the same high quality? The College Survival Lip Balm That You Need To Get

So it's that time in the year that every (well, not every) student hates...the return to school and college. The days that feel like months (the complete opposite to Summer), and all you want to be doing is well, anything but be in school. Most schools have a uniform and it's horrendous I know, and luckily I'm at sixth form where you can wear what you want. However, all you girls out there love your make-up I'm sure, but you don't want to carry huge make-up bags and you probably want something small and pocket-friendly that you can use to keep your lips soft and shiny even if you don't want to bring your entire make-up contents to school. My solution? This amazing product.

So, without further ado, Brook is going to give us a cheeky look into her everyday make-up bag...and you better get excited because boy, it's a good'un.

Mac Mineralize Skinfinish, A Worthy Highlighter?

Now when it comes to Mac products, I'm always drawn to the powders. The blushers, the natural powders...and the highlighters. Before I purchased this product, I did some intense research...and I mean intense. Mac isn't the cheapest, so I wanted to make sure I'd make good use of what I brought.

Mini Lush Haul? Check.

Now I've worked out that there are two types of Lush shoppers: the ones that always pop in to get the odd bath bomb every time (or most times, at least) they walk by, and then there's the people that hardly go in, but when they do they end up going overboard and buying a just-about-justifiable amount at once. As for myself? I'm probably the latter (uh-oh), but I had to restrict myself when I was mooching in Southampton last week, because I had a £10 note to work with, and I'm pretty pleased with what I chose.

My Facial Fix - Soap and Glory

Now I discovered the world of Soap and Glory not too long ago...I'd say my birthday in February when my Mum got me the 'Bright Here, Bright Now' energy boost balm (far right, and as you could guess I'm still obsessed). I don't know what got me hooked on this brand, but I would guess that it was a combination of the pretty packaging and the fab formulas - and now my bathtub has Soap and Glory products piled up in each corner!

Sun-Kissed Summer Skin

Now, I'm happy to admit I'm pale, very very very pale, so pale that most people actually say to me "Wow! You are so pale! Why are you so pale?". And, as much as I'm cool with it during those Autumn and Winter months, I start to feel like I would like a touch of tan to make me look, well, healthier during those warmer seasons.
