Beauty Bag - The Brook Edition

So I'm going to mix things up a bit here, and what better way than by introducing you to one my best friends and fellow beauty blogger, the wonderful Miss Brook Dellar. With a passion for all things beauty and fashion, this girl really knows her stuff. So, without further ado, Brook is going to give us a cheeky look into her everyday make-up bag...and you better get excited because boy, it's a good'un.

"First off, we've gotta have a kick ass base to set things off. We've gotta prep & prime before we do anything. Now since I'm spot prone, I go for The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser which is a gel like version of Benefit's Porefessional but good for us spot prone gals. Next up is my go to foundation, the trusty Revlon Colourstay Foundation in Buff since it is not only easy to apply, but has lasting flawless coverage which doesn't cling to dry patches... need I say more? For those phases where foundation doesn't quite cut it, I've always got a Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair as a back up. If you've been around these spaces for a while you will be familiar with how awesome this is. It fits the bill for under eye circles, blemishes and highlighting for that Kimmy K look.

With all the covering and concealing sorted, now's for bronzing. Us ladies can't be going pale in the last summer days that we have in England and this L'oreal Sun Bronzer in Blonde Sun is awesome for not only bronzing but also adding those Cheekbones that all us ladies are dreaming for.

Keeping on the brown theme, let's prime those lids with my well loved Benefit Stay Don't Stray in Light / Medium eye primer. This is great for not only hiding those horrid veins, but also keeping the eyeshadow staying all day without creasing. Of course I'm now going to whack on my all time favourite eyeshadow which is Mac Eyeshadow in Woodwinked. For you fellow lazy ladies out there, look this way as Mac have got it covered to have you looking like a smokey eye genius in a powder. Love. As you layer it on, it adds a gorgeous gold shimmer but when you blend it out it adds a deep red tone to the crease, easy peasy. With a smokey eye sorted, you've gotta have a good mascara to back you up. The Maxfactor 2000 Calorie Mascara in Black literally gives you fuller, thicker and blacker lashes which hold a curl, ticks every box? I think so.

Now, last but not least... the brows. I think it's so important to tame and fill those brows as it really does finish off your look, shape your face and just pull everything together. After all a bushy, boyish monobrow would most definitely not complement a smokey eye. So what I use is the Rimmel London Eye Pencil in Hazel as it's ultra budget friendly, easy to use and quick to apply. Winner."

So there you go. Thanks to Brook for being on my blog and bringing some totally awesome beauty ideas this way, and making me want to get down to my local Boots drugstore ASAP (even though I've just been there yesterday, oops). Brook, you're fab. Want to see more? I did a post on her blog too! Go check it out.
