How to be an Interior Designer

So this post is a bit different from the usual beauty/fashion that I normally go on and on about...it's a little DIY inspiration for all of you who want to make something cute, creative...and quickly!

I'm moving house soon, and I'm totally over-the-top excited about decorating my new room - it's a chance to start fresh, right? So I pretty much know what the furniture is going to look like (big up to Ikea for that one), but I just can't decide on the colour scheme! After extensive bedding searches and intense interior magazine reading, I think I've got it.

I never thought I'd go for greens, pinks, oranges and yellows, but it was this greeting card (and a very cute green and white polka dot tray) that decided it for me. I'm definitely going for mostly white, but I feel like these colours dotted about will add a satisfying pop to any room that you want to be classy and chic...but not boring.

So I'm starting to find bits that I'd like, and when I was on holiday last month, I found this gorgeous greeting card that I couldn't put down. I knew instantly that I had to put it on my wall, and it only made sense to put it in a gorgeous photo frame to hang on the wall. Cue a very long search for the perfect white photo frame...and I finally found it in Wilkinsons (yes, Wilkos!) last week! It's very bulky and is actually quite heavy, and for an amazing total of just £11, this decoration will add the perfect personal touch to my room.

The best part? Anyone can do it, no matter what theme your room is! I'm so excited to hang this up on my new wall, and I'm trying to resist from making loads more because even though it's really easy and addictive, it would get a little excessive!
