The Ultimate Gel Polish

So I love my Barry M Gelly Nail Polishes, but last week my friend's nails caught my eye...they were gorgeous and shiny and I had to ask what brand they were. "The Maybelline Super Stay Gel Nail Colour" was her answer, and naturally I had to try it. Cue a branch out in the world of varnish, with a very satisfied outcome...

Everyone knows about the Barry M Gelly Nail Polishes, and I love them, but I found that with me they chipped really easily. I know that most swear by the long-lasting formulas, but personally for me, they didn't seem to work (even with the Essie base coat).

It wasn't until I tried this polish that I realised how long I'd been missing out on chip-free nails. This polish claims to be 'forever strong' and to last '7 days', and even though forever strong is a slight exaggeration, it definitely does last seven days. Impressive.

I also need to point out the amazing range of colours. I particularly like the new 'Ink' collection, and I'm dying to get my hands on a few of those, but all in all they have a totally fab selection ranging from pastels to darks like the one in the picture above. The colour I'm wearing is Extreme Blackcurrent, and I found it in my local Superdrug. I've found that I can never find many colour on the shelves, but if you look online there are loads to choose from.

This colour is definitely an Autumn favourite, and I know I'll be wearing it for a while as yet (until I get my hands on the Ink collection)...
