The Drugstore Everyday Face

So we're well into Autumn now, and on the fast-track to Christmas (eek), so I think it's only appropriate for me to give you a cheeky look into my everyday Autumn make-up look (the drugstore edition).

The L'Oreal Paris True Match Foundation is one that I don't find myself reaching for every day, but it's a perfect choice for those Autumnal days where you want to emphasise your bold lips and eyes, with a complementary natural and light base to avoid that dreaded too-much-makeup look. I build up a medium coverage with this foundation, and I add a dusting of the Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder on my t-zone, as I like the natural slight dewy look when I use this foundation and I don't want my look to be too matte. To bronze I use the popular option of the Bourjois Delice de Poudre Bronzing Powder, which is the perfect shade of bronze for me, as even though it's Autumn I don't really want to look like a ghost (or a tangerine for that matter).

I like to keep the emphasis on my lips rather than my eyes when it comes to Autumn/Winter, so I often opt for a cheeky bronzed kohl liner over eyeshadow. My holy grail liner this season is the Maybelline Master Drama Kohl Liner, and I create a thin line, then blending it out slightly with a eye-liner brush. Keeping with the Maybelline theme, I add the classic Maybelline Volum' Express Mascara for a flared-lashes look, adding enough to make them fluttery and volumnized and not enough to make them spidery (oh that trend was awful...). To finish, curl your lashes and add a plum lip! I chose the Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick in Sloane's Plum, which is gorgeous and moisturising and an overall winner.
