THE ULTIMATE GOOEY CRÉME EGG BROWNIES

So it's the first day of Spring today, which officially means it's the Easter season for those who celebrate it. Chocolate everywhere, pounds being put on, you just can't worry about it right? This is a recipe (a drool-worthy one at that) that's perfect for Easter, and one to impress your family and friends...

This recipe is so easy, I found it on the BBC Good Food website but I made a few adjustments. Here's what you'll need and what to do:

You will need:
  • 185g unsalted butter
  • 185g dark chocolate
  • 85g self-raising flour
  • 40g cocoa powder
  • 3 medium eggs
  • 275g golden caster sugar
  • 6 Cadbury's Creme Eggs, cut in half

What to do:
  1. Pre-heat your oven to 160 degrees c and grease your baking tin
  2. Melt the butter and dark chocolate together in the microwave (I find this the easiest way) or in a bowl over hot water on the hob
  3. Break 3 medium eggs into a large bowl and tip in 275g of golden caster sugar. Whisk together with an electric mixer until the mixture looks thick and creamy like a milkshake
  4. Pour the chocolate mixture (make sure it's a little cool) into the egg and sugar mixture and fold them together
  5. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour and cocoa powder, and then slowly combine with the other mixture
  6. Pour the mixture into the baking tin and add the halves of the Creme Eggs. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes.
  7. Leave in the tin to cool before removing, cutting and serving.

Enjoy!
